Having had release dates pushed back twice, we were beginning to wonder if we'd ever see Joseph Gordon-Levitt's take on the Wikileaks wet dream that is Edward Snowden but today we get our first glimpse at Oliver Stone's version of the story of the decade, if not the century.
'Snowden' has quite an eclectic cast with Shailene Woodley, Scott Eastwood, Nicolas Cage, Timothy Olyphant, Zachary Quinto, Rhys Ifans, Joely Richardson and Melissa Leo all sharing the screen with Gordon-Levitt as the titular Edward Snowden, the polarizing figure who exposed shocking illegal surveillance activities by the NSA and became one of the most wanted men in the world. He is considered a hero by some, and a traitor by others.
First billed for release in December 2015 before being pushed to May of this year, 'Snowden' is set for release on September 16th.
