Despite all the set photos and news coming out about Dunkirk, there's been little in the way of actual footage. Until now.
This one-minute long teaser isn't exactly replete with action or, indeed, dialogue - but it does give us a sense of what exactly Christopher Nolan has in mind for his World War II epic. Namely that it's going to be quite unlike any World War II epic we've seen so far.
Set in the early days of World War II, Dunkirk follows the Allied Expeditionary Force and a group of soldiers, sailors and civilians caught up in the evacuation of the French city and the opening skirmishes of a conflict that eventually engulfs Europe and the world.
Much has been made of Christopher Nolan's attention to detail, including the fact that Nolan is actually using a World War II destroyer instead of CGI for battle sequences.
Right, that's enough filler. Here's the teaser. Dunkirk hits Irish cinemas on July 21st, 2017.
