The first trailer dropped online late last week and had many people thinking it was either some kind of elaborate marketing campaign for Fosters, but with a second trailer in just a few short days, it looks like this is really happening.
What's more, the long-awaited sequel in the Crocodile Dundee franchise has none other than Oz's own Chris Hemsworth in the cast as well. Again, really. Take a look at this short trailer.
So, to summarise, the film essentially came out of nowhere, nobody knew Danny McBride or Chris Hemsworth were making this, there also appears to be a website, an IMDb release page that suggests a June release date, and the production company listed in both trailers - Rimfire - worked on the two original films with Paul Hogan.
Again, none of this suggests it's actually real, but who knows? Maybe this is just the kind of thing that could work. Or not. IMDb's plot synopsis reads as follows: "Crocodile Dundee is back. Well, actually, he's missing in the Outback. And the only person who might be able to find him is the loudmouthed American son no-one knew he had. Introducing Danny McBride as Brian Dundee. This son of a legend is forced to channel his Aussie roots as he embarks on the ultimate adventure in the land down under. It's time to live up to the family name."
Dundee - if it actually turns out to be a real film - will be released on June 1st, 2018.
