Ethan Hawke's riding high with the success of Boyhood, however he's going back to much more darker fare with Good Kill.
Reteaming with Andrew Niccol, whom he previously worked with on the underrated Lord of War and the highly overrated Gattaca, Hawke is a fighter pilot who's struggling to adapt to the new wave of drone warfare.
Like most of Niccol's films, there's a serious anti-establishment bent to it which sees Hawke struggling with the realities of what he's doing and the desensitising nature of drone piloting.
Military dramas are big business in the US, with American Sniper raking in huge box office numbers.
This might not be as flag-waving as American Sniper, definitely, but it could still appeal to heartland USA audiences.
Good Kill hits Irish cinemas on April 10th.
