When we first heard that Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson were teaming up for this behind the scenes look at the making of Mary Poppins we were rather intrigued, and now that the first trailer for Saving Mr Banks has finally dropped, we have to say we're rather excited.
The film sees Hanks starring as Walt Disney, the man who persuaded a rather reluctant P.L Travers to part with the rights to her tale about a magical nanny. You see, Travers had based Mr Banks on her own father, played in flashback scenes by our own Colin Farrell, and wasn't too happy with the thought of the studio turning the character into a fuddy duddy.
Watch the whole tale unfold in Irish cinemas from December 20th. With The Blind Side's John Lee Hancock at the helm, we're seriously hoping it'll be nothing short of supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
