When even moderately popular thrillers from the early 90s are getting remakes then you know that Hollywood are really struggling to get fresh ideas these days.
That being said, the Flatliners remake does have a pretty great cast with Ellen Page in the lead and ably supported by James Norton, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev and Kiersey Klemons.
The aforementioned five play medical students obsessed by the mystery of what lies beyond the grave. So they decide to embark on a dangerous experiment by stopping their hearts for short periods of time to trigger near death experiences and get a first hand account of the afterlife.
Naturally, trespassing on the other side has consequences of a paranormal nature which our heroes eventually learn the hard way...
