This movie owes 'Game of Thrones' a lot, because if that show hadn't made the meaning of the word 'bastard' so familiar to everyone, 'Bastards' probably wouldn't exist.
If you haven't guessed the premise already, well, Ed Helms and Owen Wilson are two brothers who find out that their mother (Glenn Close, in a 'must be the money' role if ever there was one) doesn't know who their father actually is and so they go on an adventure to find out. Cue hijinks and near death experiences.
Here's the official synopsis:
Helms and Wilson play Peter and Kyle Reynolds, two brothers whose eccentric mother (Glenn Close) raised them to believe their father had died when they were young. When they discover this to be a lie, they set out to find their real father, learning more about their mother than they probably ever wanted to know.
'Bastards' is set for release on January 6, 2017.
