So it goes with A United Kingdom, based on the true story of Sereste Khama, the first president of Botswana and a member of the country's royal family who led the independence movement from the United Kingdom and married an Englishwoman before doing so.
David Oyelowo plays Sereste Khama whilst Rosamund Pike plays Ruth Williams, whom he later married amid a storm of controversy.
A United Kingdom is slated for a November 25th release and will debut at TIFF on September 9th.
