After the so-so reception for Unbroken, it seems Angelina Jolie hasn't slowed down on the whole directing lark. If anything, she's bounced back with even more vitality than before.
Her next effort, By The Sea, calls to mind the cinema of Europe in the '70s along the lines of Last Tango In Paris and casts Jolie alongside her real-life husband, Brad Pitt.
He plays a writer who's struggling with a failing marriage to Jolie, a former dancer. Both seem to grow more and more apart as they tour France, but when they reach a seaside village, they begin to draw more towards its vibrant inhabitants.
It's all beautiful scenery, beautiful music and beautiful people.
