Aaron Paul has revealed that he once completely bombed a Cloverfield audition in front of JJ Abrams. All because of a magic trick.
The Breaking Bad star recounted the story to Tom Hiddleston during Variety's Actors on Actors series of how he had prepared a three page monologue for his audition but was thrown when Abrams brought up the time Paul performed a magic trick on the set of Mission Impossible 3 in front of the entire crew and star Tom Cruise.
We can all probably relate to Paul's horror story but had he managed to get that role in Cloverfield then it perhaps it would have prevented him from getting the role of Jesse in Breaking Bad and that would have been a far greater tragedy.
