Warner Bros. have confirmed that they’ll re-release The Dark Knight in US cinemas in January, as the studio looks to garner boasting rights for a film crossing the one billion dollar mark. The blockbusting sequel is released on DVD and Bluray on December 8th, but the studio thinks the re-release wont hurt the films Oscar chances, with them heavily pushing for gongs for Chris Nolan, Heath Ledger and Best Picture. Other contenders this year are thought to be The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Milk and The Wrestler.
