We’re now firmly in a world where remakes, reboots, comic adaptations and sequels pretty much rule the roost in terms of box office, and Hollywood is constantly looking at old titles to revisit - and it seems Gremlins could be the latest one.
While no director or casting is close to being announced, Warner Bros have assigned the project producers and are keen to get the ball rolling say Under The Gun.
With the recent press around a new Ghostbusters film, it seems these films will be flavour of the month in the next, er, 2/3 years - when one of these films actually manages to get made.
The original Gremlins and its sequel were both directed by Joe Dante, and mixed the slapstick, horror blend perfectly for a young adult audience - here’s hoping he’s involved again.
Or y’know, someone who knows their arse from their elbow is.
