The feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson has been public and ongoing for a while now. They exchanged disses over the 'Fast and Furious' franchise even earlier this year.
But now, it seems, Vin Diesel wants to call it quits.
The actor shared a post on his Instagram asking Johnson to return to play Hobbs in 'Fast & Furious 10'.
He writes: "My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits.
He continues: I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10!
"I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny."
Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson co-starred in 'Fast Five' (2011), 'Fast & Furious 6' (2013), 'Furious 7' (2015) and 'The Fate of the Furious' (2017) as their respective franchise characters of Dominic Toretto and Luke Hobbs.
The last appearance of Johnson in character was 2019's 'Hobbs & Shaw', which he starred in opposite Jason Statham.
Diesel and Johnson reportedly did not get along well during filming of the eighth 'Fast & Furious' installment, and the two have not worked together since.
Is Vin Diesel right, and that giving fans of the franchise the best final story with all their favourite characters back in the loop, is worth putting an end to this feud? Or is Dwayne Johnson done, having moved onto bigger things?
