John Heard, best known as Peter McCallister from Home Alone, has passed away at the age of 72.
It's understood Heard was recovering from back surgery and had checked into a hotel in Palo Alto, California where his body was found by housekeeping services. In addition to his role in Home Alone, Heard was also known for his supporting role in HBO's The Sopranos, and recurring roles in Battlestar Galactica and CSI: Miami.
Heard is survived by his three children.
