A man of many talents, U2's Larry Mullen is now turning his hand back to movies. Can he act? Well, perhaps we should consult his acting debut, 2011's Man on the Train to find out; I'm not quite sure myself. Reported this morning by IFTN, the world's biggest rock group's drummer will star opposite Maria Doyle Kennedy (The Commitments, also the evil wench ruining Bates' life in Downton Abbey) and French beauty Juliette Binoche in an Irish-Norwegian-Swedish co-production, A Thousand Times Goodnight. The movie centres on the story of Rebekka (Binoche), a war photographer caught between a rock and a hard place - that being the needs of her family and the demands of her job. Game of Thrones star Nikolak Coster-Waldau takes on the role of Binoche's husband.
As for Mullen? Well he's set to take on the best friend role to the struggling couple. While it's hardly a front and centre role, it's certainly a start.
