He's taking a little trip to our fair isle later this year for his upcoming film, Oblivion, but it seems Tom Cruise will have plenty to keep him busy in the mean time, what with just about everyone eager to snap him up for their film projects. The latest offer on the table is from the good folks behind the Man from U.N.C.L.E movie, apparently.
As per Deadline, it's been reported that Cruise is in 'very early talks' to star in the film. which was originally set to be directed by Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney. They parted ways with the production for their own reasons, so Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie signed on in late 2011.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E, for those of you who don't know, was a 1960s TV series, which followed the exploits of two secret agents. Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughan) and Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum) both worked at the United Network Command for Law Enforcement, and yes, that's where U.N.C.L.E comes from.
Like we said, it's still early days, but we think it'd be rather cool to see Tom playing another secret agent. Sure doesn't he do a decent job eh? Catch Oblivion in cinemas from April.
