After revealing the return of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster in the first teaser trailer back in April, now we've got our very first look at the main antagonist of the comic book film.
The first official 'Thor: Love and Thunder' trailer showcases the new baddie Christian Bale and his Gorr the God Butcher get-up - and he's not messing around.
Chris Hemsworth is back once again as the God of Thunder, but this time he might have met his match in terms of friendly rivalry - Jane Foster (called Mighty Thor here). The former lovers will reunite for what looks to be an epic showdown against the skilled combatant and weapon's handler.
As we can see in the new 'Thor: Love and Thunder' trailer below, Christian Bale will play a God-hater who is pissed that all of these superheroed beings have been getting away scot-free without any repercussions of the turmoil they've been causing across the galaxy.
His planet (or wherever it is he's been hiding out for all of this time) is eternally muted in colour, standing out in stark contrast to the rest of the colourful environment that takes place in the rest of the universe.
Check out the new trailer for the fourth comic book adventure in the 'Thor' franchise below.
Co-writer/director, and the voice of Korg, Taika Waititi is back as the helmer of the project, which will also see Thor encounter a number of new God-like characters - one of which being Russell Crowe's Zeus (who has a very powerful flick, might we add).
The Guardians of the Galaxy don't appear in this trailer, but we've previously seen Dave Bautista's Drax, Pom Klementieff's Mantis, Karen Gillen's Nebula, Bradley Cooper's Rocket and Vin Diesel's Groot pop up alongside Chris Pratt's Star Lord. Matt Damon, Melissa McCarthy, Sam Neill, Jamie Alexander and Luke Hemsworth will also make guest appearances.

'Thor: Love and Thunder' arrives in cinemas on July 8.
