Super producer Neal H. Moritz, who is behind franchises like Fast and Furious, the Jump Street flicks and, er, Dead Man Down and Total Recall (he REALLY likes Colin Farrell) is producing a film version of classic Sega Game, Sonic The Hedgehog.
THR, who describe the game series as a 'billion dollar franchise', are saying that Upright Citizens Brigade comedy sketch group members Evan Susser and Van Robichaux will write the script for the CGI movie.
It's fair to say that very few, if any, computer game adaptations have worked. But at least by going down the animated route it aligns a bit more with the aesthetics of the game.
Sounds like we're reaching? Yeah, we're reaching.
