Oh dear Hollywood, what on earth are you thinking? We're wll used to hearing about franchise reboots at this stage but if there was one we thought they'd never touch it had to be The Naked Gun.
We all fell head over heels in comedic love with Leslie Nielsen's Detective Frank Drebin in Police Squad and utterly loved The Naked Gun movies, so to say we're less than delighted to hear they're going to try and drag it into the 21st Century is a bit of an understatement.
As per Variety, The Hangover's Ed Helms will apparently lead the cast as the new Frank Drebin. It's all a bit Matthew Broderick's Inspector Gadget meets Steve Martin's Inspector Clouseau for us, but then again some people actually liked those movies...
We're trying to reserve judgement but it just feels so wrong.
