It was far and away one of the most critically and commercially successful horrors of 2017, and it's no surprise that people are already clamouring for a sequel.
In the meantime, however, there's also the small matter of an Extended / Director's Cut that has been long rumoured ever since director Andy Muscietti teased some details about an origins sequence for Pennywise that was cut for time. Speaking to Bloody-Disgusting.com, Muscietti confirmed that a Director's Cut was in the works, but won't be available until 2018.
No specific date has been set, however there will be extended and deleted scenes included on the home release of It coming on January 9th in the US. Those extended and deleted scenes won't include everything cut from the film, including an infamous scene in which Pennywise eats a baby.
Maybe they pulled because of Darren Aronofsky? Who knows.
