'Where'd You Go, Bernadette' will see Cate Blanchett up and leave before a family trip.
Based on Maria Semple’s 2012 novel, 'Where’d You Go, Bernadette' follows Bee Branch (Emma Nelson) who investigates her mother’s disappearance. In the novel, she shares her findings through a series of documents, including emails and transcripts.
Blanchett plays agoraphobic architect Bernadette Fox who disappears before a family trip to Antarctica, and her daughter and husband try to find her. Her daughter ends up discovering what a troubled past her mother had.
There are some other well-known faces in the cast, as Kristen Wiig, Judy Greer, and Laurence Fishburne also make appearances in the 'Where'd you Go, Bernadette' trailer.
The movie has been directed by Richard Linklater, who you'll know from helming 'Boyhood' and 'Dazed and Confused.' He also helped pen the screenplay alongside Holly Gent Palmo and Vincent Palmo Jr.
'Where'd You Go, Bernadette' doesn't seem too far off of Jonas Jonasson's book from 2012 (English version). Entitled 'The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared;' the comedy novel saw a movie of the same name release in 2013.
Scheduled to hit The States in March of next year, no word yet on when it will arrive in Ireland.
