If you, like us, are still unclenching various muscles and body parts months after seeing 'A Quiet Place', this news will terrify you or serve as advance notice to sufficiently gird your loins.
The release date for the sequel of the enormously successful John Krasinski-directed sci-fi/horror has been announced - although there's quite a long wait on the cards.
Krasinski will once again be involved in 'A Quiet Place 2', although it's unclear whether he will direct once again. Producer Andrew Form told Collider earlier this year that they were in 'no rush' with the sequel, saying: "It’s such a special movie to us, the experience and everything. It’s easy to rush these and we’ve made movies in the past where we’ve rushed them through and we’ve felt it, and we just don’t wanna do it on this one. We really don’t. We really just wanna take our time and as long as it takes, it takes. It has to be the right story, just like the first one. It just has to be.”
Now, the US release date has been revealed as May 15th, 2020 - meaning that it'll go head-to-head with the likes of 'Godzilla vs. Kong', a 'Scooby Doo' animated movie and an untitled Marvel movie at the beginning of summer blockbuster season.
It's a long wait, but will we be there? We will. Clenching. Always clenching.
