As we reported previously, a Judge Dredd remake has been rumoured for ages and for the first time the producers and lead actor have confirmed it.
“I am in discussions with them about that,” Urban revealed on Monday at the Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas.
“I told them that if they write the material and give Dredd something to do and give him a function, I will be there. I would love to.”
Today executive producer Jason Kingsley confirmed the story in an interview with Screen Geek.
"These conversations continue but we're keen, he's keen – it's just a case of us making sure this show is everything we want it to be. This needs to be done right – the fans deserve it."

Urban also hinted at his involvement by tweeting out the show’s new poster back in May. The criminals of Mega-City One won’t sleep easy tonight.
