After a marathon casting period in which every male actor in Hollywood between the ages of 18 and 35 was seen, Alden Ehrenreich was finally announced as the man to fill the iconic waistcoat in the planned Han Solo spin off movie.
Now that leading man has been announced, work has begun on putting together the supporting cast and in particular, another fan favourite from the original trilogy - Lando Calrisian.
Played by Billy Dee Williams in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Lando was the original owner of the Millennium Falcon before Han, so it makes sense for him to be involved in the movie in some fashion. Just how big a role he'll have to play remains to be seen.
Nerdist are reporting that Community's Donald Glover is the frontrunner for the part, however it's far from a done deal at this point. Other names being mentioned for the part are Anthony Mackie and Straight Outta Compton's Aldris Hodge.
All three of those being mentioned would be fine choices for the role but we'd imagine the net will be cast wide and far in this process. Here's hoping they don't take as long as they did for the lead role though!
