The DC universe has had somewhat of a rocky start, with Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad not getting the notices nor doing the box-office that was expected of them. On top of that, Warner Bros. are being criticised by some for a perceived lack of marketing for Wonder Woman - at least less so than 'Batman v Superman' and 'Squad'.
While Justice League is due in November also, accomplished director James Wan (The Conjuring, Fast and Furious 7) will tackle Aquaman; that is good news for DC and Warner. What might also be good news is Ezra Miller's Flash could have an A-list helmer on board, with news that Robert Zemeckis is talking to the studio about tackling the character.
Zemeckis has directed some of the most popular movies of all time - Back to the Future, Forest Gump, Cast Away - and would be an incredible get for the studio. That said, there were rumours about Mel Gibson taking on a Suicide Squad sequel and those whispers seem to have gone away. So...
Seth Grahame-Smith and “Dope” director Rick Famuyiwa both left the project after conflict with producers.
Would be interesting to see what a helmer of Robert Zemeckis' ability does with a character like The Flash - Ezra Miller deserves a shot at superstardom.
