Last night saw the world premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story take place in downtown Los Angeles.
The event, which was attended by the stars of the film and an actual life-size X-Wing, was also attended by a number of well-known US film critics who were amongst the first to see the eagerly-awaited Star Wars spinoff.
It's always worth pointing out, of course, that by and large, early reviews are normally positive. Studios will often issue strict embargoes and agreements that prevent people from tweeting about the film before its official release and, of course, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is no different.
Our own review has been embargoed until 10PM tomorrow evening, but a few US critics who attended the premiere were able to tweet out some thoughts on the film.
As always, if you want to go in blind, look away now.
#RogueOne is pretty much everything I was hoping for & then some. So moving/satisfying for so many reasons. Already dying for a 2nd viewing.

People worried about #RogueOne not being a gritty war film need not worry. It's intense, relentless. You can practically taste the grit.

#RogueOne is FANTASTIC. Incredible action, both planetary and interstellar, and looks GORGEOUS. Most importantly, it feels like Star Wars.

So, the word is good and it's worth pointing out that these four tweets are from professional critics, not ultra-fans or the like. Either way, we'll have our own thoughts on Rogue One from 10PM tomorrow.
Keep an eye out on Facebook, Twitter and here on site for the review!
