Queen opening The Oscars with Adam Lambert got the A-List audience into quite a frenzy.

Kicking off the night, Queen's medley of 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are the Champions' got the audience of The Oscars 2019 all riled up. Its almost surreal watching Glenn Close and Lady Gaga clapping and singing along at the beginning; while the effort of getting reactions from Rami Malek and Mike Myers is also very appreciated.

Queen opening The Oscars must have been a good omen for 'Bohemian Rhapsody' as the biopic went on to win four Academy Awards.

Meanwhile Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga strolled onto stage from their front row seats in the audience, to perform 'Shallow.' The song went on to win Best Original Song, the only award won for 'A Star Is Born.'

Emily Blunt took a break from playing Mary Poppins, and let Bette Midler perform the movie's Original Song nomination, 'The Place Where Lost Things Go.'

Sidenote - to introduce the performance, Keegan-Michael Key dropped down as Mary Poppins. Highlight of the show? Potentially.

While Jennifer Hudson performed 'I'll Fight' from the Ruth Bader Ginsberg movie, 'RBG.' It's said that Hudson had difficulties with sound during the song.

The final Original Song nominee to take to the stage last night was from 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.' Unfortunately there's been no video uploaded yet, so a GIF will have to do for now.

In case you noticed, one Original Song nominee is glaringly absent from last night's awards show. Kendrick Lamar's 'All The Stars' from Marvel's 'Black Panther' wasn't given the chance to take to the stage, as Lamar is currently in Europe; the rapper didn't think he would have enough time to give a worthwhile performance. And instead of The Academy finding a replacement, like they did for 'Mary Poppins Returns,' they decided if Lamar wasn't going to perform, then there will be no performance.
