Taika Waititi has dropped some minor details about his second 'Thor' outing.
With little to none Marvel Cinematic Universe news coming out in recent months, we're excited with any minor details we can get. And 'Thor: Love and Thunder' director Taika Waititi have given us a brief glimpse of what we can expect in the next Marvel Phase four movie.
Speaking with BBC News, Waititi said: "I think it’s going really good. We’ve been writing the script off and on for over a year and… actually, this week, doing another pass on it."
He said 'Thor: Love and Thunder' is "so insane" and "also very romantic", explaining "I want to make something that I’ve never done or never cared for. I would like to attack something like that."
The famed director has quite the busy schedule ahead of himself in the coming years. As well as helming this, his second 'Thor' movie, he recently cut a deal with Netflix where he will be adapting Roald Dahl stories for the streaming giant. Oh, and he's got a new 'Star Wars' trilogy on the way too. The man is on fire, and rightly so.
Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth previously said in an interview that the upcoming superhero caper will be Waititi at his "most extreme". 'Batman' star Christian Bale has been cast as the movie's big villain.
The director wasn't the only crew member to give an update on the upcoming Marvel movie. Natalie Portman, who will reprise her role as Thor's love interest Jane Foster - and who is expected to become "Mighty Thor" in the latest blockbuster - told Serena Williams in a recent Instagram Live of when the movie will begin filming.
She told the tennis ace: "We’re shooting in Australia at the beginning of next year." 'Thor: Love and Thunder' is still on track for release on March 25, 2022.
