One of Hollywood's most untouchable stars at the moment has to be Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. The former WWE star can just do no wrong, and it's fair to say he is the current King of the summer blockbuster. Sorry Chris Pratt.
Turns out, even Mr Steven Spielberg himself is a fan, and said as much to him in a letter. The Rock appears in the front cover of August's Esquire and told the magazine about said letter;
"About three weeks ago, I'm here at the house and I get a letter—"Been enjoying your movies over the years. Very entertaining. I feel like I've really gotten to know you over the years, most recently after watching you host Saturday Night Live. Great job. You continue to go for it. Proud of your work and look forward to meeting you. Steven Spielberg."
Can you even imagine? The guy who made E.T, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and feckin' Jaws, writing you a letter to tell you they are a fan? Doesn't matter who you are, that is a gigantic deal
And it wasn't lost on Johnson either, who said of the letter; "It took me back to being just like a kid. I was so blown away."
Who knows, maybe Spielberg will even go and make The Rock the next Indiana Jones now. (Once again, sorry Chris Pratt.)
