No seriously, he said that, we're not just messing.
One of the world's leading science type guys has declared that he thinks he'd make a great Bond villain, and he has a pretty great reason for why. In an interview with Wired UK that appears only in the print version, he has stated his desire to add to his acting CV by appearing in the famous series of spy movies.
"My ideal role would be a baddie in a James Bond film," Hawking said, "I think the wheelchair and the computer voice would fit the part". He's already getting his own movie about his life, The Theory of Everything, and he's appeared in everything from The Simpsons to The Big Bang Theory, so he's definitely got acting credentials, plus he could be part of some sort of incredibly evil plot that involves the world getting sucked into a black hole...or was that what happened in Interstellar? We were so confused.
The timing of the interview, given the news that they will announce all details of the upcoming 24th Bond movie this Thursday is particularly interesting too. We're off down the bookies, this is a sure thing.
