Three people have been added to the cast of the unwanted Donnie Darko sequel that will see Daveigh Chase reprise her role as Donnie’s sister. Elizabeth Berkley (Showgirls), Justin Chadwin (Thumbsucker) and Step Up 2 star Briana Evigan have signed on to co-star in the Richard Kelly-less sequel. Story will follow Chase and her buddy Evigan as they embark on a road trip to avoid the pain of the broken Darko family. Soon they start seeing trippy things and are plagued with bizarre visions. The film is to be directed by a dude named Chris Fisher, who’s a bit of a hack judging from his back catalogue of directing titles that include Rampage: The Hillside Strangler Murders and Nightstalker. Granted, this film could surprise us all, but how doubtful is that?
