Residents in Dublin - particularly South Dublin - will know of the Stella Cinema in Rathmines.
Built in 1923, it was a landmark in Dublin for years, but sadly it fell into disrepair and has remained empty for more than a decade. However, we've now confirmed that the Stella is due to reopen in the coming months. Press Up Entertainment, which runs the Dean Hotel, the Workmans Club, Wowburger, Captain America's, Everleigh Gardens and a number of other Dublin nightspots is restoring the Stella Cinema.
According to Aoife Kelly, Head of Marketing and PR, the Stella Cinema will be refurbished "to her former glory, with a one-of-a-kind cinema featuring luxury seating, food and a cocktail bar."
No specific date has been set for the opening, but it's due to be announced in the coming months.
