Picking up pretty much right after the events of 'Avengers: Endgame', 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' is understood to be the final act in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With the world reeling from the death of Iron Man / Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and the effects caused by the Snap, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is no longer sure of his place and what happens next. All that changes when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) arrives in the middle of his school's European trip and sets him up on a mission with Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal).
As the trailer explains, the Snap caused a tear in the dimensions, meaning that multiverses are now slipping into our world and causing chaos. Beck is even from a different version of our world, all of which is news to Parker who's just trying to be a regular teenager.
The first 'Spider-Man' movie featuring Tom Holland, 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' really was an enjoyable twist on a familiar character, so the pressure is on to repeat the same success this time around with 'Far From Home'.
