A film version of the classic American TV series, Soul Train is in development. The series ran for 35 years in America, and was basically a funkier version of Top of the Pops. The film will be set in the 1980's, and focus on a boby popper who's trying to make it big on the Soul Train tour. Sounds like an excuse to make a Step Up/Fame style dance film set in the 80's, with a retro soundtrack - granted, Fame was actually made in the 80's, but the new version is in the set present day. No director or cast have yet been approached.
