Remember Prometheus? It was the sort of prequel/'it’s in the same universe' as Alien film that gained a lot of buzz a couple of years ago until it was released and split audiences bang down the middle? Well, they’re making a sequel.
Ridley Scott is back on board to helm the follow up, while Michael Green, who’s also writing the new Blade Runner movie, has been hired to write the script for the March 2016 release date that’s already been set by Twentieth Century Fox. Trailer below in case you've forgotten...
The Wrap say that this film will be more "Alien-y". Er, sound. We’re assuming that means more aliens and less back story - which as gorgeous to look at, is pretty much what Prometheus was plot wise. It WAS a prequel, it turns out.
No word on returning cast, but we’d guess Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are already locked as part of their original deals.
