Old enough to remember when the only chance the White House would be blown up would be when aliens invaded? Then you probably also remember when Will Smith kicked ET's ass in Independence Day.
Y'see, now there's going to be a sequel as news broke last night that Fox had officially green-lit another film, damn near 20 years after the first. That probably won't have Will Smith in it. Which is weird, because Will Smith will make a sequel to anything.
Original helmer Roland Emmerich will return with producer Dean Devlin - those lads were big in the 90s - with Emmerich coming off the fun, box office bomb White House Down. He's OBSESSED with that place.
No word on a cast yet, but we'd imagine they'd be hot young things on the cusp of stardom as opposed to a name that will cost a wedge.
