Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey are good examples of those terribly annoying people who are not only rides but are actually talented and they have both been recognised for their acting chops at this year's Rome Film Festival.
Johansson took the Best Actress prize for Her (directed by Spike Jonze) and McConaughey brought home the Best Actor gong for Jean-Marc Vallée's Dallas Buyers Club, which is based on the true story of a HIV positive drug smuggler.
These honours may justify the Oscar buzz that surround both hotly anticipated movies which are both set for release in Ireland early next year, Her on January 10th and Dallas Buyers Club on February 7th.
