There was a time when I loved John Cusack - when everyone loved John Cusack - but sadly for him that time has seemed to have passed. Perhaps it's his ambiguous private life (why don't we know who he's dating, what's his favourite drink or where he lives, goddammit?) or his suspiciously plastic looking face or maybe it's simply because he has made some frankly shite movies over the past few years.
One of those not great movies was 1408, the Stephen King adaptation about a freaky hotel which co-starred Samuel L. Jackson. Well, according to Variety, for some reason the two actors think it's a good idea to reunite for another Stephen King story turned movie, this one being Cell.
It's basically a zombie movie centred around a comic-fan and his crazy troupe of survivors, or so I gather.
Cusack obviously loves doing this kind of stuff (he also appeared in King's Stand By Me) and his participation was announced last month. Jackson has just signed up.
Ah, c'mere though, maybe it will be really good. Zombies are the creatures du jour after all and everyone likes Stephen King. I for one am willing to give Joan's brother another chance.
