In what would be some incredible ensemble casting and possibly the few names that could begin to rival the Marvel universe, DC Comics and Warner Bros. have reportedly put out firm offers to Ryan Gosling, Tom Hardy, Will Smith and Margot Robbie for their new comic book franchise, Suicide Squad.
The film adaptation is being penned by David Ayer, who last directed and wrote the star heavy Fury, featuring one Brad Pitt - which is in Irish cinemas this Friday.
The comic book series focuses on a group of former criminals, who work in a 'deniable black ops capacity' for the US government in exchange for reduced prison terms.
No word on if Ayer will also be directing the film, but with that cast it could be something special.
Gosling is also apparently circling the role of Doctor Strange for Marvel. Similar to that other Ryan (Reynolds) who made The Green Latern for DC, before work on Deadpool which a Marvel property.
