Hollywood is continuing to take a chance on Russell Brand with the news that he'll star in and produce the comedy, Cupid.
Variety are saying the film will centre on Cupid (to be played by the comedian), the Roman god of love, as he works to create "an ideal romance." Joe Nussbaum, who last directed the Disney movie Prom, pitched the flick and is looking likely to helm. Brand just recently bagged the lead role in Larry David's Pierre Pierre, and was last seen in the musical, Rock of Ages. He has Oscar winning screenwriter Diablo Cody's (Juno) untitled directorial debut incoming as well.
Brand is currently presenting the FX show Brand X, which you can see on your tellybox here in Ireland if you have Sky Atlantic.
