It's a conversation that has caused countless heated discussions over dinner tables, in pubs and at parties over the years - what is the best film of all time?
The answer, of course, is completely subjective - but there are some parameters that lead many to similar conclusions.
With that in mind, movie aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes have collated a list of 300 films that have been highly-rated by critics - i.e. 'Certified Fresh' - as well as its Audience Score, which allows users to add their own rating for each film - and deemed them the best of all time.
The Top 10 has films that span the last 80 years, including classics 'Chinatown', 'On the Waterfront' and 'The Godfather'.
However, the #1 spot is a well-respected film but one that rarely tops such polls.
The most recent film on the list, meanwhile, is 'Top Gun: Maverick', which was released in 2022 and whose inclusion is bound to ruffle a few feathers.
