Director Roman Polanski has created controversey at Cannes over some inflammatory comments made about gender issues while at a screening.
As per USA Today, when a journalist asked him for his opinion on society's aim to 'level the genders', Mr Polanski described it as 'purely idiotic'.
The 79 year old infamous director went on to share his thoughts on the birth control pill: "I think the pill has greatly changed the women of our times, masculinising them...
"There are other elements. I think it chases away the romance from our lives and that's a great pity... I think it's a pity that now offering flowers to a lady becomes indecent."
No stranger to backlash, we can only imagine the furore caused over such comments, though not that Polanski will give a shit.
