Robert Zemeckis is reportedly in talks to direct Here There Be Monsters, according to The Wrap.
The Back to the Future and Forrest Gump director will be (thankfully) dropping the motion capture style of execution he's used for his last few films, and will instead use traditional methods for 'Monsters'. The story follows real life naval hero John Paul Jones, but throws sea monsters to the mix. It sounds like Zemeckis will get to play around with some special effects anyway.
The helmer last worked on the motion capture Disney flick Mars Needs Moms, which bombed so badly, the Mouse House decided to then avoid the pricey form of filmmaking for future projects.
