If you loved Silver Linings Playbook half as much as we did, then you'll surely be delighted to hear that David O. Russell has managed to reunite the majority of his Oscar nominated (and winning) cast for another flick.
Robert DeNiro has been speaking out about the movie, which sees him teaming up with Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper once again. Originally titled American Bulls**t, the film tells the tale of the FBI's Abscam sting operation, which uncovered political corruption in East Coast cities during the 1970s. That explans Mr Cooper's fabulous hairstyle...
"My character is a guy who comes in and represents the whole gambling thing, trying to help them work it out," De Niro told Empire. "Unwittingly, he's also being used. He's legitimate, in that he can do casinos, but he's also connected to the underworld. It's the story of how the government prosecutor went after federal politicians. They were taking bribes to allow the legalisation of gambling in New Jersey" he explained. Sounds like a great role for Bob. Sure couldn't he try his hand at anything?
Speaking of rather talented actors, Amy Adams and Christian Bale are also back in action for the movie. The last time we saw these two together was in The Fighter, which also just so happened to come courtesy of David O. Russell. Guess it's like a great big film family reunion so.
The untitled drama also features Michael Pena, Jeremy Renner and Louis CK, and is due for release in the US on Christmas Day. We'll let you know when we hear news of an Irish release date.
