After lighting up the screen as Freddie Mercury in 'Bohemian Rhapsody', Rami Malek's next move could see him up against James Bond.
Variety reports that the actor has been offered a role in 'Bond 25' as the lead villain, but his commitments to the third and final season of 'Mr. Robot' might stand in his way.
They also report that Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris are all set to return in their respective roles, along with Craig as Bond obviously. Cary Fukunaga is set to direct as well as pen the screenplay, making him the first American to direct a Bond movie.
Rami Malek appears to be at least the second choice to play the role of villain in 'Bond 25', as it was previously reported that Saïd Taghmaoui was to be cast as the villain - but only in Danny Boyle's version. As Taghmaoui explained at the time, "I literally just received a message saying: 'If they go Middle East, it’s you. If they go Russian, it’s someone else.' It’s the story of my life. Always on that line between something that could change my life and something that disappears."
'Bond 25' is set for release on February 14th, 2020.
