Quentin Tarantino has become a father for the first time at the age of 56 with his wife, Daniela Pick.
TMZ reports that the boy - who hasn't yet been named - was born in Israel yesterday, where Daniela hails from. Tarantino married Pick, a singer and model, in 2018 in a private ceremony attended by the likes of Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman.
The pair had been dating since 2009, with Tarantino meeting Pick while promoting 'Inglorious Basterds'. Funnily enough, during that same promotional trail, Tarantino talked about how he wasn't likely to be married or have children any time soon.
"It’s all about the movie," Tarantino told GQ at the time. "I don’t have a wife. I don’t have a kid. Nothing can get in my way. The whole world can go to hell and burst into flames. I don’t care. This is my life. It’s Mount Everest. If you’re climbing Mount Everest, you’re not doing anything else."
Tarantino, of course, has been adamant that he is going to retire on his tenth movie, and seeing as how 'Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood' was his ninth, he's only got one left in the bag before he calls it a day. What that tenth and final movie will be about is anyone's guess. Maybe it's about the exhaustion of being a parent at that age in your life?
Who knows.
