Ridley Scott and Prometheus fans rejoice; Prometheus 2 is said to be moving forward, with Trascendence writer Jack Paglen (consider him a relative newcomer, he's not done much else) penning the script.
As per the folk at The Wrap, this has been in negotiation for a while now but Scott is said to have officially signed off on Paglen's involvement so looks like Prometheus 2 will soon be well under way.
Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender starred in the first movie, which was made as a prequel to Scott's Alien in 1979. It's unconfirmed whether Rapace and Fassbender will return though it seems more than likely. All we need now is news on where the story would take us this time round.
