On this week's Insider Podcast, we spoke to Fergal Reilly, the Co-Director of The Angry Birds Movie.
The film is an adaptation of the insanely popular mobile gaming app and boasts a voice talent that includes the likes of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Sean Penn, Danny McBride, Peter Dinklage, Bill Hader and Blake Shelton.
Originally from Ardee in Co. Louth, Reilly has been working in animation for over two decades, working on the likes of The Rescuers, Space Jam, Osmosis Jones and The Iron Giant. He was also hired by Sam Raimi to help the previsualise the action sequences for Spider-Man 2.
We spoke to him about his long winding career and also about the challenges involved in adapting a property like Angry Birds or the big screen.
