There's something about Ethan Hawke. I'm not quite sure whether I find him attractive (OK I do) or I just think he's cool as f**k. Either way, he's a bloody good actor. Having starred together in the original and critically acclaimed Before Sunrise in 1995, and again in Before Sunset in 2004, Hawke reunites for the third time now with Julie Delpy on Before Midnight.
The third film is due to premiere at this year's Sundance Film festival but you can catch a glimpse of some of the movie stills right here. A movie that earned itself a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Before Sunrise remains one of the most talked about movies in critic circles. We reckon that's down to the dialogue; the musings and insights of both Jesse and Celine combining for enough food for thought to last a lifetime. Some critics even went so far as to dub it 'the best romance of all time'.
So needless to say we have high hopes for film number three in director Richard Linklater's romantic series. (Although the second outing didn't quite find its audience). Having met and spent 24 hours together in Vienna, then again 9 years later in Paris, this film takes the two lovers to Greece. Commenting on the forthcoming movie, Hawke says: "Obviously we wanna make the fans happy, you know, and give them what they want. And at the same time, you can't make everybody happy. You just can't do it. So we have to try to just have the same attack and just kinda try to be ruthlessly honest and really tell the story about where we think these people are in their lives right now."
Excited? Us too.
