We didn't know the Irish Naval Forces were such big Star Wars fans, but it might have something to do with their recent assignment.
The LE Samuel Beckett, an offshore-patrol vessel, recently took part in the filming of Star Wars: Episode VIII where it protected the filming crew on Skellig Michael against unwanted trespassers and protecting boats from making landfall on the island.
The ship, which was launched in 2013 at a cost of €54,000,000, was on patrol in the sea around Kerry when this image was posted to the Irish Naval Forces' official Facebook page.

Mmmmm, yes, like it we do. No, we're not putting on the stupid voice.
The LE Samuel Beckett's now headed off on deployment, but with Yoda looking after them, they should be in no bother.
